Introducing new technical challenges, students continue to build upon ballet vocabulary, correct and functional body placement, safe alignment, strength, transitions and musicality.
*Dress code: CPD black leotard, pink ballet shoes and pink tights. Hair must be worn in a ballet bun. No jewelry.
Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across-the-floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles.

As students advance through the jazz program, progression exercises along with leaps and turns are at the core of each lesson. All styles of jazz are introduced with a focus on technique, proper alignment, and performance quality.
*Dress code: CPD black leotard, black or caramel slip-on jazz shoes and black shorts or leggings. Hair worn in a bun or a clip. No Jewelry.
Encompassing a wide range of styles, students are introduced to the authentic history of Hip Hop dance, cyphers and group work. Through the use of age appropriate music, classes explore styles of popping & locking, voguing, litefeet, and others, while celebrating expression, confidence and bold movement quality.
*Dress code: jogger pants, capris, sweatpants, shorts. You may include reasonable street wear as an option (ie: leggings and tank top). No hats or jeans.
Students learn more complex footwork and are challenged by rhythmic concepts such as syncopation and increased speed. Emphasis is placed on clarity and precision of sound.
*Dress code: CPD black leotard, black lace-up tap shoes and black shorts or leggings. Hair in a high pony tail. No jewelry.
This class is for intermediate dancers and will expand students’ skill sets to include floor work, artistry, exploration, and technique drawing on ballet and jazz forms.
*Dress code: CPD black leotard, black shorts or leggings, no shoes.

An ultimate introductory class for teens interested in exploring expressive movement and improvisation.
